Should I upgrade?

Recommended Posts

I have recently had to switch from using vw 9.0 or 9.5 on a mac to vw 8.0 on my own PC. I knew it was going to be a huge adjustment but after a month I still am not drawing with the speed and comfort that I had on the mac. Do you I would benefit from upgrading to vw 10.0 for windows with a chance to win the mac they are giving away or should I stick with 9.0 or9.5 because I was comfortable with that version in the past?

What type of difficulties are you running into when changing from the Mac to the PC ?

If you use Apple's Software Update located in the Control Panel, it will download and install the application/extension for you.

When you download the Carbon Lib extension, it's a SMI - sel mounting image.

Double click on it to mount it. It will be a white hard drive like icon that says "CarbonLib".

Double click on this to launch the installer window.

Double click on Apple SW Install.

THat will launch the install.

You should find directions for downloading it at Apple.com as you should for all other Apple software.

You will need to restart the computer so this extension is loaded in your extension set in order for VW to run.

kATIE,

Thanks for the help - I already downloaded it to another mac and I will copy in on the other machine via zip and follow you instructions.

KEVIN,

Thanks also but the mac I'm installing it on is not connected to the internet.

This is sort of related... In preparation to upgrading to VWA10 I downloaded CarbonLib 1.6 (I will be staying with 9.x for awhile) Now that I have 1.6 what do I do with it - exact directions would be helpful!
