Bruce Kieffer
Seems to me that you have plenty of machine there. What happens when you try and hidden line render? Quote Link to comment
pdrake
it either just doesn't do it or it gives me an out of memory error. most of the time it just doesn't do it. it will spend some time trying to do it and then stop and act like i never tried to do it. Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
If it's one file, then that file might be corrupt. If it's all files, then your system or VW installation may be corrupt. Either way, I think a call to tech support is in order. Quote Link to comment
pdrake
yes, i called tech support. we're working on it. it may be that my 2D and 3D conversion rates were too high. i still don't understand why a windows machine will do it, but a mac can't. why even offer options that a machine can't do? i would understand if i were running a very weak machine. Bruce Kieffer
How large is your file? Have you tested on another Mac? You could send it to me and I'd give it a try on my iMac. Quote Link to comment
pdrake
it usually happens when i have a lot of truss and chairs. i've gotten the setting where they're acceptable and it's working now. tech support was pretty good. i was surprised. thanks for the offer, though. Quote Link to comment
