SIDUG
I have a worksheet which calculate different areas in a building base on classes, e.g. "Area-Building" or "Area-Garage". While some cells will return a correct result, e.g. =CRITERIAAREA(C='A AREA-BUILDING'), some others will return a wrong one e.g. =CRITERIAAREA(C='A AREA-GARAGE') would return a value that is TEN times what it should be! I know I don?t have 10 objects under the same class because as soon as I deleted the one object in 'A AREA-GARAGE' the worksheet returns 0. Furthermore, In a different project with the same worksheet the erroneous cells would be in different places. Any solutions please? Thank you Sidug Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
the current version of Vectorworks uses =Area. =CRITERIAAREA is an old function. it would help if your signature had your version. also watch out for objects in design layer viewports, make sure you keep them out. Quote Link to comment
SIDUG
Hi Jonathan: I'm sorry about the signature...I'll fix it. You're absolutely right! The viewport on design layers(I think even Sheet layers) throw the whole thing off. After inserting more criteria the calculation works. Thank you so much. Sidug Quote Link to comment
