MattG Posted May 20, 2013 Share Posted May 20, 2013 I am trying to figure out a way to take all my lighting device parameters that have their types set to text and have them act as numbers. I am specifically attempting to do this for the weight parameter. I have a truck pack file that I want to be able to drop a grouping of fixtures in and actually account for that weight in my report. However with it currently viewing weight as a text parameter I am not able to do this. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to do this? Matt Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted May 20, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted May 20, 2013 If you are working in a worksheet use the VALUE() function if the weight is only a number. =VALUE('Lighting Device'.'Weight') Once you do this you will not be able to edit the weights in the worksheet but you will be able to SUM() to get a total.
