John A
I imported an image prop of a person successfully, but it has a rectanglar black background behind it. How do you eliminate the background? I tried editing the mask options, but grew confused (not unusual.Help! Quote Link to comment
J. Wallace
You could just drop in a 3D figure... there are numerous to chose from in the VW library... Quote Link to comment
Monadnoc
You are on the right track with editing the mask options. Just edit the Image Prop's texture in the RB. Choose "Transparency" > "Image Mask" > "Edit" > "Transparent Color Mask" then click on the black background of the left "Source Image" to choose black as the color that is transparent. Some things that might confuse: If it doesn't already have an Image Mask, it may ask you to choose an image for that when you select "Image Mask" from the Transparency pulldown (choose "Reuse an Image from another resource" > "This textures color") Depending on how it was originally created, the "Transparent Color Mask" button may be greyed out. If so, then click on "Change Image" and choose "Reuse an Image from another resource" > [find the name of the image you used to create it], then continue as above. There does seem to be a bug in VW that sometimes requires you to enter the Transparent Color Mask dialog box, click on the background color (even if it isn't changing) and exit out of the dialog box in order for things to "click" and work properly. Monadnoc
You can avoid all that editing by doing pretty much the same steps during the creation of the Image Prop by clicking the "Use Mask" > Mask Options" choices. Quote Link to comment
