Artistic Rendering

Could we get the artistic rendering options that were removed when the rendering engine transitioned to Cinema 4D returned to the Renderworks package? We need more options for non-photorealistic color renderings than what is offered by the "Cartoon" option.

I agree. Sketchup has many alternative and customizable artistic styles. I know that C4D also has many options. Why are they not integrated?

Yes! This is much needed! Renderworks makes a nice photorealistic picture, but sometimes you don't want that, but you also don't want "cartoon".

Hello,

It is a great thing to have "impressionistic" rendering rather than just photorealistic. I agree it would be great if there were just a few more options available in Artistic Renderworks. Probably easier said than done but I add my vote to this request.

Try the sketch option in the line render options. I've used it for varying degrees of hand drawn look. See the examples on my site:

yes! something we've requested before, along with the ability to export images with transparent backgrounds, something c4d also does.

I have tried the sketch option for lines, but that isn't at all what I'm looking for in this instance. I'm trying to get renderings that look as if they were drawn completely with watercolors, paint, or colored charcoal. These were all possible in earlier versions of VW.

Huge +1 to be able to export images with transparent backgrounds. My current workaround for the lack of artistic rendering options is a heavy dose of Photoshop. Transparent backgrounds would be a huge timesaver.
