Cheryl Corson
Not sure why but the program is churning now that I'd added many plants and plant tags to a drawing. Each little task (moving a leader line, changing the label font size, etc.) is taking a very long time. Ideas? Quote Link to comment
J. Wallace
Do things improve if you re-start your computer? I have had this issue before, not sure if it is a Ram or graphics issue. You might want to update your profile so we can see what computer and version of VW your using. Quote Link to comment
Bryan G.
Are you using custom plant figures with a high level of detail? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
Plants need to have simple outlines to make them speedy. I have recently been helping a client with slow plants, and when I delete a plant copied from vw 2012, the file speeds up. Quote Link to comment
Bryan G.
Jonathan is right I at one time had very detailed plants and the redraw rate is atrocious. This may be your problem. Quote Link to comment
Brookems
Jonathan, You mention that plants copied from 2012 slow down 2013. I am having this problem, among others, with 2013. What is the answer to this problem? I can't imagine that I would have to recreate all plants for 2013? Quote Link to comment
Jonathan Pickup
The problem was that some plants were being duplicated inside each other. To check for this, create a blank file. Import one of your plants. Check the Resource Browser to see if more than one plant was imported. If so, delete the plant on the Resource Browser that should not be there. Check all the plants and fix, but each time you import a plant, you have to use a blank file. Quote Link to comment
