That's too bad. It's a very important ability for me too. In fact, I doubt I'll upgrade until it is part of the program. I wonder why they didn't include it. Having Export only is far from Interoperability.

It is like they are intentionally trying to NOT make it possible to work back and forth between C4D and VW. Only forth. It doesn't make sense to me. Very strange game plan.

Not much I can say really. The export from C4D to VW is .3DS which is a very old format (evidenced by an 8 char name limit) but as far as I can see its the only way to bring in materials. Once in VW any texturing can be painful and my experience is that trying to use a new material (texture) rather than the imported one (swapped) is a 'no no'.

Pretty disappointed but will try to find other ways around this limitation.

I should also say that I sent off the .dae files a while back but never got an answer. tbh the VW pipeline could be better (maybe its just my inexperience)
