Shane Rowse
Looked for an answer to this question on the forum but can't find one, so I'll ask. When I use the Generate Paperwork function in Spotlight to create an Instrument Schedule the instruments are sorted by position but not by number. The unit numbers are seemingly random - my best guess is that they're in the order of creation or something. Any idea what I might be doing wrong? Quote Link to comment

bjw
Working on the same problem here, I'm wondering if there's a way to apply sorting hierarchy tags in the Instrument Schedule the same way you would with an Editable Worksheet...? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted January 7, 2014 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted January 7, 2014 There is no way to control the sort order in the Generate Paperwork command, the order is built into the command. There was a bug in 2012 or 2013 that prevented them form sorting correctly but that has been corrected. Also database worksheets may not sort correctly in 2010 but that was fixed in a later version. In 2010 I think database worksheets sorted numbers in a text formatted cells as text. The worksheet would sort as 1,10,11,2,20,21... Quote Link to comment
