Rocco Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 We used an unlicensed copy of Vectorworks to help reduce costs while starting our company. We now have a fully licensed program. Is it possible to import the drawing files that were produced with the unlicensed version into the new program? I understand that these files were produced with an unlicensed copy, so they should not work in the licensed version to protect Vectorworks. However, we are now compliant & just trying to avoid additional costs. I will contact Vectorworks for their decision, but want to see if anyone knows how they will likely respond? At this point, we cannot use the files unless we continue using the unlicensed version. If anyone has any knowledge about what they may say, then this will be appreciated. Quote Link to comment
GWS Posted February 8, 2013 Share Posted February 8, 2013 I have had success with opening 'illegal' VW drawings in VW2011 and then saving and re-opening in VW2013. VW2012 won't work so you will need 2011 or earlier. Quote Link to comment
