GWS
I think this has been asked before but I can't find it.....so Is there a way to set a symbol to scale to the SLVP scale? When in wireframe they are displayed at 1:1. I can alter this in the OIP advance tab but is there a way to do it automatically? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Have you tried putting the symbol in the annotation of a viewport? (Even if the viewport is a dummy.) The symbol will scale to the scale of the SLVP. hth mk Quote Link to comment
GWS
Unfortunately the symbol is part of the Design on the Design Layer and I'm creating a Viewport from the Design Layer. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
If I understand what you're trying to do, it shouldn't matter. You can put any symbol in the annotation part of a SLVP and it will scale to the viewport. Quote Link to comment
PeterT
Page based symbols will ignore the layer scale. If you want the symbol to display reflecting the layer scale it needs to be World based. Then it will display at the appropriate size if you change the scale of your viewport. This is changed by editing the Symbol Options through the Resource Browser. Is this what you are trying to do? GWS
Thank you Peter, I think that's what I'm after. Michael, the symbol is already embedded in the design as part of a mechanism. Quote Link to comment
