MSachs Posted December 19, 2012 Share Posted December 19, 2012 Has anyone experienced VW 2013 not sorting channels properly? I have the most recent version of the software. I cannot figure out what basis it is sorting. Also, the Vectorworks Help cannot be accessed. Quote Link to comment
ChadL Posted January 2, 2013 Share Posted January 2, 2013 Is it sorting it like this? 1,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,2,20 etc.... Also where are you trying to sort, in a worksheet? If that is the case, you need to sort by the 'Alt-Channel' category instead of the Channel category. The Channel category sorts by Alpha-numerical order, that is why it sorts like above, where the Alt-channel sorts by numeric. Quote Link to comment

Frank Schneider Posted January 22, 2013 Share Posted January 22, 2013 Did you solve this problem. I am having the same issue. I am working with a file that has been imported from 2011. I've been adding lights to the standard plot. In '11 the channel and circuit hookups worked well. But now they don't sort right. I tried the alt_chan, and when I went back to chan it sorted correctly. But I cannot get the circuits to sort. When I try alt_circ the lights I have added since importing to 2013 show up with no circuit. And when I go back to circuit the new lights are at the top with no order. Help! Quote Link to comment
ChadL Posted February 7, 2013 Share Posted February 7, 2013 Before I started using LightWright to edit all that data, I used to just select 9 fixtures at a time and work with those. It is kind of a tedius workaround, but it is what I had to do. i.e. grab fixtures 1-9 edit, 10 edit, 11-19 edit. and so on. Quote Link to comment
