jamesmise
I use lots of image props in my designs. But if I want to render a rough sketch in Artistic Renderworks, none of the image props show up. Any ideas? Thanks, Quote Link to comment
jamesmise
Answering my own post. I did read that Renderworks styles do not render 2D objects. I also found that when one layer is rendered with a Renderworks style, the other layers will not show up if they are rendered in other styles. I wanted to use Renderworks Artistic Taper Thick Black but it won't render my image props. So then I decided to make my image props black and white, place them on their own layer, and render them in Fast Renderworks. But the two render methods won't work together. Still trying. ray isaacs
james, the only way i've come up with is to render in renderworks to get images, then copy the viewport and paste it over itself, then render the overlying vp in artistic renderworks to get sketch outlines. not ideal, but it does work. ray Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted December 12, 2012 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted December 12, 2012 Hello James: RW doesn't show image props in ArtRW mode because they would show as just 3D rectangles. You will not get some kind of edge detection that will put edges on the outlines of the mask. To get a tree-shaped outline in ArtRW you would need a 3D polygon that traces a tree outline, not an image prop. HTH Quote Link to comment
