carpalmer
looking into creating curved surfaces beyond VW's capabilities, anyone using Rhino in conjunction with VW? Modelling complex shapes in Rhino and importing into VW for final model? thx Carpalmer Quote Link to comment
bcd
It tends to work better in the other direction: Simple VW geometry -> Rhino for development. Up to VW2012 VW hasn't been dealing well with Rhino meshes. I'm looking forward to exploring the VW2013 -Rhino Import/Export functions. Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
I've had good luck in the past going back and forth between VW and Rhino using IGES files. Recently some one sent me a Rhino file to work with and I tried the Rhino import in 2013. I ended up using the IGES instead. KM Quote Link to comment

michaelk
Kevin I've been playing w/ Rhino too. Any tips you have would be appreciated. What kind of problems did you have w/ importing Rhino directly and what version of Rhino was the 3D geometry created in? Solids or surfaces? The simple things I've been playing with in Rhino have all imported into VW (2013) with out noticeable issues. mk Quote Link to comment
