barkest
Hi, If I have a front view and in my viewport (annotations) I dimension the wall height and then go back to my design layer and change the wall height the viewport dimension does not update. I also tried AEC > Dimension Exterior Walls but once again it does not update. I know I must be doing something wrong but I am not sure what it is. Could someone please point me in the right direction thank you Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
No you're not doing anything wrong. Associative dimensions don't work in Viewport Annotations, at least not in this case. I think in some cases they work on a plan view, but I'm not sure which. Quote Link to comment
bcd
afaik associated dimensions still only work in 2d on planar /hybrid objects (eg walls in top/plan) similarly the Dimension Exterior Walls command is 2d only Quote Link to comment
barkest
thank you very much. I have been trying to get it to work all morning What is the 'usual' way to dimension wall heights? Do I just wait until nothing more will change then add the dimensions? thank you again Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
That's probably the best approach. No such thing as usual in VW. Quote Link to comment
GWS
When are we ever going to get Associative 3d Dimensions? Quote Link to comment
