Hinge Direction Marker?

Is this the correct way to show hinge direction in the US?

Or is the hardware on the wrong side?

(In Sweden and Holland the wide side of the 'arrow' defines the 'hinge' side ie. the opposite of how it is in the Door tool!?)

Hi Vincent,

In the Vectorworks library (application folder) there's folder called plugins-Common-Data-Doorpreferences.xml. You can open this and there's a line called hingepref (at the bottom) Here you can set a us (0) or non-US (1) standard. You type this number between so that it reads 1. Restart VW and it should work. I spend an afternoon trying to figure out where to change this. Ofcourse not in the OIP or dialog.......

In 2012 it was already set.......I guess it wasn't set in 2013 because it is the evaluation version.......

for windows, look for the preference called:

WindowPreferences.xml
