Christiaan
Is anyone else finding that they can't offset the handrail (as opposed to Guardrail) in 2D? Only in 3D. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
, works on a fresh stair in a fresh file. Probably a v2012 to v2013 conversion problem. Although resetting plug-ins doesn't work. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
The workaround for this is to use the Guardrail minus the posts instead of the Handrail. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
This is still broken in v2014. Quote Link to comment

Guest Wes Gardner
Here's what I'm seeing - the handrail offsets in 2D...see the two attachments - under the RAILINGS tab "Show" handrail, then type in an offset "Offset to Tread Edge" - sorry about the crazy feet/inches thing... Then under the 2D GRAPHICS tab choose "Show Handrail." Is this what's needed? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee PVA - Admin Posted October 24, 2013 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 24, 2013 (edited) The issue may more specifically be that it isn't updating the handrails location in 2D if its modified after the handrails 2D appearance has already been enabled. Actually in further testing, it appears to be sticking depending upon which order I edit it in, but the behavior isn't really constant. I'll amend the submit to include this new info, but something is still in need of attention. Edited October 24, 2013 by JimW Quote Link to comment
