Haich
Is it possible to add a custom "focus point shape" to the "focus point" tool so that it is available in the drop down every time I use it? thanks, -Henry Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted October 24, 2012 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted October 24, 2012 Henry, To add items to the list you just need to create a file with your custom symbols then place the file in your Vectorworks user folder ..\Libraries\Defaults\Focus Points\ Restart Vectorworks and you should now see your custom symbol shape names as choices. Joost
In VW 2018 this seems not to work. Did the method to add custom shapes change? Edited February 18, 2018 by Joost Quote Link to comment
markdd
You need to make sure that the custom shape is saved as a symbol within a file. That file needs to be placed as Kevin described above. The path for the file can be found by going to Preferences and under the User folders tab press "reveal in finder". It works fine in my copy of 2018. Quote Link to comment
