Don2012
I qam using Vectorworks 2011 Landmark. I am trying to plot a deed that included a curve that is not tangent to the lines before or after. I cannot get it to work. As I enter data for the radius and so forth, the data I have already entered will change. How is the data to be entered for a non tangent curve (and yes I have the non tangent curve box correct.) Quote Link to comment

Jonathan Pickup
draw the site without the curve. convert to a group, then upgroup it and delete everything except for the property line. draw the curve using the arc tool Select the property line and the arc. Use Add Surface to join the arc to the property line. Use the command objects from polyline... to convert this new shape to aproperty line object Quote Link to comment
Bryan G.
This however will not generate proper berings Quote Link to comment
Bryan G.
if you use what Jonathan is suggesting (which is exactly how I would approch it also) you can set an angle based on one given bering and rotate the shape to that angle. Quote Link to comment
Don2012
Thanks for the help. I used the property line tool up to the curve that is giving the problem. I allowed the property line tool to close the plot. The segment it created to close the plot was correct for the chord of the curve. Don Quote Link to comment
