I'd like a 'subtract solids'-like feature that isn't restricted in any way with regard to what can be subtracted, including objects that are in groups and parametric objects.
Perhaps to make it work it wouldn't actually create a new object like the subtract solids command does but rather it would remain independent and just cut through whatever crosses its path, with an option to exclude any objects from it's powers.
The reason I'd like this is because I've modelled a pitched roof using the Framing Members tool for the rafters and hybrid symbols for clay tiles and now I'm trying to insert roof lights. It's quite a bit of work because I'm having to subtract-solids for each edge tile separately to create a hole. And the subtract solids command just doesn't work on Framing Members.
