VWLP Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 We are considering upgrading to Vectorworks 2013 from 2011. However, another branch office of our company we share files with has decided not to upgrade from 2011. Will they still be able to open and edit the files saved in VW2013? I know it is an option to export as an older version, but that would be an extra step to do for every document. Thank you. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan Posted October 10, 2012 Share Posted October 10, 2012 No, they'd need to be converted back to v2011 before sending. However I'd strongly recommend against this kind of workflow. You're better off sticking with v2011 for any projects you collaborate with them on and only use v2013 to start new projects that you know you won't be collaborating with them on. Anything other than a very basic 2D workflow or very small projects is fraught with problems when converting files. Quote Link to comment
