Eric Chenault
Why is it that lines and arcs can be combined into a surface, but thow a polyine in the mix and there's no way the command will work? The command works with several joined lines, a few lines and an arc, or several arcs, but not lines and polylines. Help please,Eric Chenault Quote Link to comment
Matthew Giampapa
The combine into surface is a bit strange at times. It should work when poly line objects are present, but I have seen it create surfaces that are not quite the correct shape as well. If you have a situation where the combine into surface command does not work. Attach a copy of the file in an email to bugsubmit@nemetschek.net with instructions to reproduce the failure. Otherwise, you may want to try using the much more reliable compose and decompose command in the tool menu. Compose can be used to create a surface (Polyline) from any group of consecutive 2D linear objects. (lines, arcs, polygons and polylines) It can also work with consecutive 3D NURBS curves. defjef
Sometimes the combined object disappers.. Usually combing arcs... Quote Link to comment
Eric Chenault
Thanks for your help... The Compose Curve command seems to do everything! Lines, arcs, and polylines. Also the original objects aren't left behind as junk. Regards,Eric Quote Link to comment
