Benson Shaw
Here is that recent drape roof thread: Drapes That center column will be a challenge, but you could try lofting 5 wavy hoops - narrow at top, mid and bottom, a bit bigger at intermediate heights. -B Edited August 7, 2012 by Benson Shaw Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Actually, you are probably better off with open curves for the column. Rotate at each lift to make it curl around the column. And the swags on back wall can be bi rail sweep (loft tool): 1st Rail is 3d Locus at mid point of upper edge 2nd Rail is swoopy NURBS curve Profile is NURBS curve - starts straight at 3d Locus, then wiggles to outer edge -B Edited August 8, 2012 by Benson Shaw Quote Link to comment

Benson Shaw
Carl - It is often easier to make 2d curves with the Polyline tool and convert them to NURBS (Modify>Convert>Convert to NURBS. Key shortcut is Cmd N). You may need to adjust the z values or drag/move to get everything lined up and snapped together. You can do this! -B Quote Link to comment
