SIDUG
Hello: I design mainly houses and I do not use 3D nor rendering. My laptop is relatively new with the latest video card, huge HDD and lots of memory. The files on most houses are about 20mb - 23mb and Vectoworks performs just fine. However there are 3 houses that are rather big(about 15,000sf to 18,000 sf) and their file sizes are a little over 30mb(that's right, just 30mb). When working on these files Vectorworks seems to slow down, showing a message of "Vectorworks Not Responding" for 5 seconds or so every 3 or 4 operations, especially when I work on my completed elevations. So it takes much, much longer working on these projects. Almost all the hatches I use are standard library hatches and patterns, and it dosn't make much difference when I turn off the hatch class anyways. Dose anybody know the reason for this? I'd appreciate any help. Thnak you Sid Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Are you using Workgroup Referencing? Did you import a DWG into any of the files? In my experience, its likely there is a corrupted object that's been shared between the files. Kevin Quote Link to comment
