cad@sggsa
Good day all I spoted a post which I thought would help me out, but alas, my Gobo Projection acts like Lazer beams and passes through everything with Cast shadows selected. See other posts here: http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=173860&gonew=1#UNREAD I am using a Studio Spot 575 from the VW lib. I have selected a Gobo, made a foces points and allocated each light to thier own points. The gobo shows and points in the correct direction. Cast shadows and Lit Fog is selected and light set to Realistic and Smooth/Normal on the fall off's. I still have the light passing through a solid as it would have been like glass or guaze. What is the problem here??? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee klinzey Posted July 25, 2012 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 25, 2012 Make sure your walls have a solid fill and check the texture on the walls. The texture should not have a transparency and should have cast and receive shadows options checked. Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Hi Kevin The walls you see in the render are basic extrudes with no textures applied with a color fill. Proof of this is that the Gobo image is projected on it. So Im not to sure why the light is penetrating through the solid. Anybody else have a solution for this? Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Dave Donley Posted July 25, 2012 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted July 25, 2012 The lit fog in the RW background is what shows the gobo beams. Make sure this lit fog background has "Receive Shadows" turned on (by editing the active RW background using the Resource Browser). Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
Thank you Dave All my Render Backgrounds are set to LitFog @ 25% with Recieve Shadows selected. This is not making sence... Quote Link to comment
