Christiaan
I have a load of doors for which I want to change the hardware set. Problem is if I select multiple doors the Settings button is greyed out. Do I need a script to do this? I also have different door Types which are identified by their suffix ID tag. Stan Rostas
Christiaan, At this time you are SOL. Maybe someone has a workaround that we have not found yet. Major PITA. Quote Link to comment
John Meunier
I would image that it can be done through a worksheet. Maybe someone knows the name of the record that will call up weither the door has hardware and then in a separate column what it is. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
I have a sledgehammer approach. I'll just edit the hardware set symbol to be what I need it to be. This will deal with the majority of the doors. Then I just need to go around 40 or so bathroom/WC/en suite doors and change them one at a time. Quote Link to comment
bc
Could you use the eyedropper tool? Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Don't think so. This only lets you copy over all plugin parameters. Quote Link to comment
billtheia
You might be able to do t through the door schedule/ worksheet. Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
The schedule's in a separate workgroup referenced file. Will that work? Quote Link to comment
billtheia
Probably not. Could you bring it into the referenced files, temporarily, for the purpose of making the change? Quote Link to comment
michaelk
If there is a worksheet hook to get the hardware, I can't find it. Quote Link to comment
billtheia
Is this what you're looking for? 'Door'.'HWDesc' 'Door'.'HWSetID' 'Door'.'HWQty' 'Door'.'HWType' 'Door'.'HWLockType' 'Door'.'HWCloserType' 'Door'.'HWStopType' 'Door'.'HWKeyCode' 'Door'.'HWNotes' 'Door'.'HWSymName' 'Door'.'HWSymIDx' If all of the doors are using the same hardware set, you should be able to just modify the hardware set and that should be reflected on all of the doors. michaelk
Bill Interesting. I just played around with those. They don't appear to work in the normal way of a 2 way worksheet. ie., changes made in settings for a door don't show up when the worksheet is recalculated, and changes made in the worksheet don't show up in the hardware settings. bummer. mk Quote Link to comment
billtheia
Bummer, indeed. Why am I not surprised? Quote Link to comment
