Bruce Kieffer
Is there an option to export a final quality Renderworks image with a transparent background? Quote Link to comment
grant_PD
not really. I used to try "green screening" but it bleeds into the lighting and reflections. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
You can do it if you render in a SLVP. Put a rectangle behind the SLVP with a ridiculous fill color. Export. Open in favorite image editor. Select and delete ridiculous fill color. mk Quote Link to comment
Bruce Kieffer
I was looking for a one step process. I have been exporting, opening in PhotoShop, and deleting the background there. Wish list I guess! Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Nemetzchek should be able to implement this pretty easily. The technology exists in the Cinema 4D rendering engine. I am assuming your rendering either has a black or white background. Vectorworks isn't so good at compositing at the moment. It would be great if your could turn the alpha channel for a viewport on or off. Kevin Quote Link to comment
Fred-FIN
...It would be great if your could turn the alpha channel for a viewport on or off. Kevin I agree. This would let me apply artistic renderworks hidden line renderings on top of a Final renderworks rendering for example. ... and adjust the transparency / darkness of the sketchy lines. At the moment I can only get light grey with the chinese rendering mode. Quote Link to comment
ray isaacs
bruce, this is something that is added to the wish list on a regular basis. if c4d can do it, why not vectorworks. ray Quote Link to comment
NorCalLights
I've been wishing for this as well... someone posted it over in the feature request forum too. The C4D<>Vectorworks workflow is so convoluted that even if I had the cash to drop on a C4D license, I still don't think I should be forced to use it every time I want to edit a simple rendering in Photoshop. barkest
Export to pdf and then open in PS (for example). Edited August 19, 2013 by barkest Quote Link to comment
