pedro
why was this feature on the palettes removed. it was great for maximizing screen real estate. Will it return to vectorworks anytime soon? when is the next update? Quote Link to comment
Matthew Giampapa
Window Shades was never a VectorWorks feature. It is provided by the OS. Apple did not implement this in MacOS X. Due to it's removal, we are considering implementing our own version of this. However, we will probably wait to decide until we see what happens with MacOS X 10.2. At this time we have no release date for any upcoming versions. Matthew GiampapaNNA Technical Support [ 07-11-2002: Message edited by: Matthew Giampapa ] Quote Link to comment
Bryan_dup1
There is a 3rd party shareware application (haxie) that will "windowshade" the drawing window, but not the pallets. It is offered by Unsanity and called "WindowShade X" Quote Link to comment
PeterT
Mathew, Since the windowshade feature in MacOS 9 was provided by the system software for VectorWorks palettes, why is the "genie effect" not not provided for VectorWorks palettes under OS X? Either way, if Apple does not provide some capability in OS 10.2, It would be a huge wish list item from my office for Nemetschek to implement some way to hide and show palettes without having to close them and reopen them.
