Trouble importing DWG file.

Anyone know what might be the issue when I'm trying to import a DWG file and I simply get the 'spinning wheel of death', and have to force quit Vectorworks? This has happened to me with a few files that people have sent me to use.

I'm on a MacBook Pro

Running OS X 10.6.8

Have 8GB of memory

I'm using Vwks Landmark 2010

The file I'm trying to import is 1.3MB (I've successfully imported larger files).

Any info much appreciated.

Have you updated to Service Pack 4?

what version of acad generated the dwg? could it be a versioning issue?

Thanks for the suggestion, though my version is up to date. Apparently the file will open with 2012, but not in 2010. I guess the newer version has figured out whatever glitch there was.

Sounds like it may have been a newer version of AutoCAD that created the file (after 2010).
