Fucile
Beginner here. Using ARCH 2010. I'm trying to draw walls in Mod Layer 2. Need to snap to walls in Mod Layer 1. Have fiddled with class/layer options to no avail. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Quote Link to comment
Benson Shaw
Did it used to work, but now it does not? Are the snap options on for Object, Angle, Intersection, and Smart Points? They toggle with the q,w,s,d keys. You might have switched them off. Maybe turn off the Grid snap? If you see the gray layer and draw on the active layer, snaps should work if they are tuned on in the Snap palette. Try in a new drawing, or duplicate your drawing and work on the duplicate. Set Layer Options with the Nav Pallet or View>Layer Options>Gray/Snap Others. Try the high end, too: Show/Snap/Modify Others. Did you reboot your system and relaunch Vectorworks lately? That might help. Post back if it's not working. -B Quote Link to comment

taoist
How about posting a copy of the file? Others here can attempt to figure out what the issue is. Quote Link to comment
Fucile
How do I do that? Thx. Quote Link to comment
taoist
Click on reply button at right, just like you do now. At the bottom of the window, click on Switch to Full Reply Screen button. A the bottom of that window you will notice File Manager Click on that button, you will be able to add your file there. Click on Browse, locate your file. Max file size is 5mb and 5 files is max at one posting Once you have your file, click Add File Button. When you notice at top of window that it has been loaded, click Done adding files button. Then click submit button at lower left. Quote Link to comment
Fucile
I knew it would be something easy. All it took was to turn on "Unified View". Thanks for the help. Quote Link to comment
