alfresco
If I want to render a tiled floor showing the tile selected for the project, can I apply a downloaded image of the tile into vw and apply the image? I have a 2D representation of the tile pattern, but would like to show the client how it will look in the project. Thanks Quote Link to comment
michaelk
It's very possible. I like to use an application called PixPlant http://www.pixplant.com/create seamless textures, fix parallax and define the pattern, but you could also do that in almost any photoshop-like app. Dan Jansenson's old book, the Renderworks Recipe Book http://www.imageprops.com/page2/page2.html is very helpful. He also has a newer one: http://www.amazon.com/Remarkable-Renderworks-By-Daniel-Jansenson/dp/B003HDTCD8 And I think there are some videos, but I can't find them at the moment. Basically create a new texture, in the color pull down select image (new) and navigate to the picture. Set it to tile horizontally and vertically. There are tricks to getting the size and the bump correct. Yell if you get stuck or need an example. hth mk Edited June 12, 2012 by michaelk Quote Link to comment
alfresco
Thank you very much! I will go and give this another try. I may have previously left out a step as I could not get the desired results. Quote Link to comment
