Hakman
Hello to all, 1- By using the 3D Polygon, I am trying to do a sloped driveway; the driveway is slopped in many different ways I've done the outlines and put the 3D Polygon in the Site-DTM-Modifier Class, when updating the DTM I can still see the texture bed peeking out from some areas of the 3D Polygon, even if I increase the Vertexes amount. I've tried converting the 3D Polygon to NURB or MESH with the same results, any ideas? 2- How do edit the 3D Polygon Vertex when using TOP VIEW, how do you control them to move in the X and Y? they seem to only move in the Z Quote Link to comment
Vectorworks, Inc Employee Tamsin Slatter Posted April 24, 2012 Vectorworks, Inc Employee Share Posted April 24, 2012 Hi Hakman 1 - When you say Texture bed, have you actually created a modifier that is a texture bed that sits below your 3D Polygon? If so, try unchecking Draw 3D on the texture bed to get it to lie on the surface of the model. 2- To change the vertices of a 3D Polygon, use the Reshape tool. The vertices can be moved by clicking on them and moving them to a new location. This can be along X and Y axes, but also Z, although this is difficult to do interactively in Top View. Instead, with the 3D Polygon selected, on the Object Info palette, change the Movie field to Vertex Only. Then you can use the forward and backward buttons to move across the vertices and from there you can set specific X, Y, and Z coordinates for each point. I hope that helps. If not, give me a shout. Hakman
Thank you, for the 3D Polygon I usually do what you said in option 2 Quote Link to comment
