BScruggs
Super Newbie Question... I'm simply trying to subtract one solid from another to create an empty space. I keep getting an error that says: "You have tried to create a solid object that cannot be computed. Edit the geometry to resolve the situation and try again." It sounds like I'm just missing a step or two in the process. Any hints or guides? Many thanks in advance! Brian Quote Link to comment

BScruggs
-B Thanks. What I've done so far is made two extrudes, placed one inside the other and then tried to subtract the hexagon shape from the cylinder. I'm sure it's something simple, but for the life of me, I can't figure it out... Thanks again! Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Works fine for me. Make sure that the outer shape is highlighted when the dialog box comes up. Use the arrows to change which object is to remain. If the inner object is highlighted then the error message you saw is kicked out. hth mk Quote Link to comment
BScruggs
Many thanks! Much simpler solution than I was coming up with. Just needed another person to look at it! Thank you!! Brian Quote Link to comment
