Custom Fields in Title Block

Hi All, i'm trying to add the drawing and the date and time to my custom title block.

I already have auto sheet layer naming and can link my records to my record format.

What i'm missing is the suffix or prefix code for date and time and drawing title. I can not find it the VW manual.

I'm using VW 2010

Can someone help please?

Do a search for "title block" in Vectorworks Help. It's the first result: "Creating a Custom Title Block in Vectorworks Design Series"

I did that but is does tell you how to add the date and time or document title.

I want it so it updated it's self..

What date do you want to use? A revision date? Date of first issue?

Tile is: P_Drawing Title

Or for multi-line: P_Drawing Title#

revision date.. would be good.

Also P_Drawing Title does not get the name automatically from the drawing title. It only allows to put the field on all title blocks.

I kind of what to make my own version of the drawing label tool but in a title block.

You have to link them to a record format. A better way might be to copy one of the existing Custom Title Blocks into a fresh file and edit that to see how it works:

Applications > Vectorworks > Libraries > Defaults > Sheet Border - Title Blocks
