Cutting Planes

NemV needs to change how plans, sections, etc are derived from layers in vw. Revit can create random shapes like the attached image, and then generate the corresponding plans, sections, etc. In vw, sure you can model this type of building however generating the corresponding plans, etc. isn't possible-the user has to do this manually. The way Revit processes plans, sections, etc. is far superior and NemV needs to take a lesson from this.

My suggestion is to have Layers use Cutting Planes to generate 2D drawings.

I also think this, but it also bring in some new troubles. Do you want all your furniture to be cut? I don't. So the way Revit works in this regard IS much better, but I want on top of that the ability to choose wich types are being cut, and which not. This for getting the plans like I want them to be.

In Revit, you can control the cut plane hights so this would easily be possible if implemented in vw. Any object in vw can have an over-ride instead of having the hight specified for layers.
