Christiaan
Has anyone else experienced the problem of symbols changing their Height when you move them between layers and place them in a wall? Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
Not only symbols have this problem. Copying or moving objects from layer to layer can result in shifting z-co?rdinates. Quote Link to comment
SethW
Christiaan, I've been having this problem too. It is making me crazy. Quote Link to comment
willofmaine
Me too. Especially annoying having a toilet in plan view, but not show up in a section or interior 'cause it's 100' below grade... Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
I've also noticed it can happen if I copy a symbol from one layer to another and then convert it to a group. Funny thing is the heights only shift if you're in Top Plan view. If you're in a 3D view they don't shift. Quote Link to comment
cad@sggsa
I have not have this problem Could it be SP3 or Mac related? Edited April 11, 2012 by cad@sggsa Quote Link to comment
preston bircher designs
This has been happening with me since I upgraded to VW2012. I have to adjust the Z-Coord every time--and they're all random!?!?! This needs an anwswer for us all! Quote Link to comment
Assembly
Also if you edit a 3D geometry any instance of the Symbol will revert back to Z=0 height. Pain in the A$$ Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Happens with walls as well. To fix it you can switch the objects to another layer (any layer)?via the object info palette?and then back again. We could really do with this being fixed before v2013. Quote Link to comment
