Ability to show/hide wall components on design layers

It would be good to have a "Show Wall Components" option for design layers or an entire file or something (rather than just the viewport override option).

I'm finding that when we're working on planning/design development drawings it helps with the modelling to actually assume some wall components but it complicates things to show these in top plan view in the design layers and I'd rather be able to turn them off with a general setting.

Doesn't the Hide Details preference do that?

Document Preferences > Display > Hide details when layer scale < = 1: __

And also the little Hide Details short cut icon up on the menu bar.

A warning about using this preference: referenced DLVP walls do not respect the setting, except in one regard. Components will show up, but you can only snap to the outside edges of walls and endpoints of components. It took us 4 man hours trouble-shooting this problem, and finally discovered that "Hide details" was the culprit, not some kind of corruption or some other setting.
