SharonP
I have had this issue come up a couple of times now, whereas it never used to happen. I can mirror a window in the same wall, but am wanting to mirror the window on a 45? axis to have the window in the wall that is at 90? to the original?. hope that makes sense. What is happening is that the red dashed mirror line will only go vertically or horizontally, not let me put the axis at any other angle. It is not my snapping preferences that are the issue as I can mirror other objects however I like. Does anybody understand what I mean and have a suggestion as to what I need to change? It is a pain having to copy the window and then place it manually in the next wall rather than just mirroring it. Quote Link to comment
bcd
You can only mirror it within a wall - In this case you're trying to mirror it into a second wall. Have you thought of mirroring the walls? Quote Link to comment
atari2600
my workaround has been to yank it out right in front of the wall, mirror it, then plunk them both back in. (I stress "workaround") Quote Link to comment
bcd
try placing a 2d locus at the insertion point and mirroring that then place a new window. you can't insert new objects into walls as you hope you might wishlist it if it's important to your workflow Quote Link to comment
