extruded circle not round

hello.

I can't seem to fix a very basic issue i'm having.

If i extrude a circle , it doesn't appear to be round.

I should be able to change the amount of vertices in a way.

It looks like straight lines drawn in a circle

can anybody help ?

Sounds like a Monitor Graphicscard issue.

But then the Circle shouldn't be round also before you extrude it.

Post an example please.

If you klick switch to Full reply screen, you come to a

input window that also has a Filemanager.

Check your 3D Conversion Resolution and 2D Conversion Resolution in the Vectorworks Preferences.

Also having this issue. I tried your suggestion Pat and it didn't help. Any other suggestions you can think of? My extruded circle is looking more like a dodecagon.

Does the same happen in a new blank file?  

 

If so, please post that sample file so we can take a look.

 

Or post your original file and we can look at that.

Are you looking at it in Shaded Mode?  If so - go to Shaded View Options and up the resolution from LOW to medium or high.  These are found under the teapot menu once you have activated Shaded mode.
