Columbia, Maryland (March 8, 2012) ? Nemetschek Vectorworks, Inc. is pleased to announce the publication of a new training guide for users of Vectorworks? Landmark software: Vectorworks Landmark Tutorial Manual, Third Edition. This manual was written by Jonathan Pickup, a leading Vectorworks trainer from New Zealand, and it has been updated for use with the 2012 version of Vectorworks software.

Vectorworks Landmark Tutorial Manual provides explanations of Vectorworks Landmark concepts and techniques for users of all levels. The topics discussed apply to both residential and commercial projects.

The manual uses a series of exercises to reinforce the learning of Vectorworks Landmark features and workflow capabilities, starting with a very simple exercise on landscape budgeting. Content and exercises build in complexity, and by the end of the manual the user will be able to use the plant database, create custom plants, edit the plant graphics and import drawings from consultants.

?When people get started with Vectorworks Landmark, they often struggle with the complexities of planting,? said Pickup. ?The goal of this manual is to make it as simple as possible, to get away from the mystery of how you make a plan and get information from the plant database, and to show people how quick and easy it can be to do things like landscape budgeting and planting plans.?

Pickup also said that the last exercise in the guide addresses collaboration with others on a project, such as consultants. Users will learn how to import drawings from consultants, create a plan and send the files back.

This tutorial is part of Nemetschek Vectorworks? self-paced training options, designed for people who like to learn on their own and at their own pace. For more information and to purchase these tutorials, please visit www.vectorworks.net/training/guides.
