Christiaan
So, iPad 3 and iOS 5.1 out. Where's Vectorworks Mobile? Quote Link to comment
Dieter @ DWorks
Had a Vectorworks User day today and Sean Flahherty came by to talk about this. It's more than just a viewer and really seems promising. It's a start to a whole lot more so it seems. I can say that at the end of this month, it will be introduced in the US. Quote Link to comment
Kevin McAllister
Ha, I was wondering the same thing. Glad to hear it may be sometime soon.... KM http://techboard.vectorworks.net/ubbthreads.php?ubb=showflat&Number=167415#Post167415 Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
I'm guessing it will have some set of IFC capabilities too. Quote Link to comment

Chris D
Interesting start. Can't see anything compelling in there just yet, except maybe the cloud rendering. If the cloud workflow is PDF based though (albeit with auto generated PDFs, which would be handy) then doesn't Dropbox work just as well? Sent from my iPad.... Quote Link to comment
Christiaan
Thanks Jeffrey. Rendering bit does sound compelling. Interested to see how fast and at what price. Clearly it's a lot more than VW "mobile" but it's not what I would have developed. If it was me at the steering wheel the next thing on the list after cloud server rendering would have been a delta server with the ability to sign out and work on any arbitrary part of the BIM model. Instead it's just file syncing. Quote Link to comment
Chris D
If it was me at the steering wheel the next thing ...would have been a delta server This is a great idea. A delta server would solve the problem that with BIM, the project setup is more likely to involve fewer, larger, files, which are more difficult to split up so that more than one person can be working on the file(s). This would also allow remote working too. Compelling reason number one, for sure. Quote Link to comment
