No soft shadows with light distribution files

Hi

I've been having issues with light sources using load distribution files.

when I enable soft shadows, shadows disappear completely. The light source simply goes straight through any given object.

I'm rendering using renderworks 2012 and the final Renderworks setting.

Here's an example below.

The left light source is a standard light with soft shadows enabled.

The right light source is using a load distribution file with soft shadows enabled.

I would appreciate any help.
