Window/Door Tool: merge or improve integration or add doors to window tool

Can the Window and Door tools either be merged or have their integration improved. My preference would be to merge them. Or perhaps they could remain separate but add door capabilities to the Window tool.

In the real world, more often than not (at least with the type of architecture we do), windows and external doors are one and the same thing.

I Approve this request. I would truly love this feature. Too often I find we have to figure out how to place a door symbol into a group of windows. It's never a pretty sight.

I agree Christiaan, the window and doors tools should be merged. This is a philosophical issue for Vectorworks, they cannot see why windows and doors need to be in the same frame.

Are you saying there are people at NV who actively argue against a window tool that integrates doors? Surely not? What benefit is there?

I thought it was just a case of resource allocation.

I'd like a window tool that can do integrated doors, a door tool that can do integrated windows (which it can to a certain extent), and a Curtain Wall tool that can also do doors. I'd also like the OIP not to become a massive mess though...
