Are there a known bugs with VW2012 door hardwares,

when trying to edit or add hardware, it keeps defaulting back to Knob Ball set. it will not allow me to change to other ones.

Also when adding a new one it doesn`t show it in the door Hardware Library.

Also having that problem. The VW help is not straightforward about how to change the VA preferences. Any suggestions are welcome!

Same problem... any fix

I browsed to the Door-Hardware file opened and closed it.

They began showing up.

However - the Panic hardware doesn't place correctly on bi-folding doors!!!!

Why is this so difficult?

Check your permissions on the folder of the program. Had the same issue until permissions were set to all users.

It totally looks like the symbol is built wrong! It seems to be centring the symbol insertion point, which is fine for a simple door knob, but not so fine for panic hardware. I would file that as a bug....

This is a known problem. Edit the symbol to move the insertion point and that will fix it.

I just experienced this persistent default Knob Ball set. After some choice language and extra clicking, it finally recognized the set I was trying to select...

When someone says, "this is a known problem", a red flag goes up in my brain. 99 times out of 100, such problems are NOT known to our Engineering staff because someone has not submitted a bug for it. So it is with this case. Now, for this one, I've submitted a bug for it, but please, please, anyone reading this: Submit bugs (there's a link just to the right on this page) when you encounter an error, "known problem" or otherwise. Many of these things are easy to fix when we know about them.
