snaping box

can anyone explain to me why the snapping box is not located under the arrow indicating the location of my mouse pointer? I find that quite annoying as the box is a dull grey and much more difficult to spot than the arrow which I thought was the selection pointer.

I guess it's a question of habit or maybe I'am missing something

the snapping box is usually centered on the pointy end of the arrow. you can change the opacity of the snapping box in the Interactive Settings part of the Vectorworks Preferences.

You can change it's opacity/color in the interactive appearance dialog under properties.

Is there a way to have it so the only thing you see is the selection and snap box? I would like to remove the cursor for I find it cluttered to have 2 boxes and a pointer.

I am in OSX.

In the vectorworks preference pane under the interactive tab you can turn off the curser box. uncheck "show snap box" & "show selection box"

That I know - but I want the other way around - I want to keep the snap and selection - but turn off the curser.

That would be a really nice feature, to turn the mouse pointer off in vectorworks:)
