ccorbett
Hi There. I am trying to render a drawing of a custom curved screen for a project I am working on. I need to render some still shots of video content onto the surface but as it is not a "screen object" I am struggling to figure out how to make it work. Perhaps my approach is wrong. I started with an arc that matches the curve of the screen and then extruded the arc to the full height of the screen. This is where I get stuck, I can add the texture to the arc, but it does not render onto the surface, instead it renders onto the 3D object "the pie wedge" created by extruding the arc. grant_PD
Take that pie object and convert to nurbs. You then can delete all other surfaces but the arc. Another alternative would be to use the curved wall tool. Quote Link to comment
michaelk
Or draw the arc with the polyline tool with no fill. Modify > Decompose. Extrude and change the fill to solid. Quote Link to comment
John Meunier
Or draw an arc, then draw a line equal to the height of the screen. Then select both and use the command extrude along path, use the arc as the path object. Quote Link to comment
