QfanatiQ
I cannot find any info on this anywhere. I have a site plan referenced in correct place. I have set out all my buildings, I now nee to have dimension coordinates on them. I have looked in help and google but not found the answer. Please can someone let me know how I do coordinate dimensions Cheers. Q Quote Link to comment
bcd
Are you speaking about automatically dimension your project? There is an option in VWA AEC> Dimension Exterior Walls. which does what it says on the tin for walls on the selected layer. Quote Link to comment
QfanatiQ
No, I am talking Northings and eastings for setting out a massive site. Our Survey has been entered and has a north and east value. These properly relate to 0,0 in the drawing. So I want to take a (co-ord command) and click on the corner of the building and it automatically says this is 735,568 352,744 If those were indeed the co-ordinates. This needs to be done by the CAD package to ensure acuracy, as I have the N/E info, it can be worked out, but there is too much room for human error when doing it like this. This is how I have set out sites and this is how we are being asked to do so by the contractor. Despite being on the forums for a wee while, I still feel very new to VW http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ordnance_Survey_National_Grid Quote Link to comment
John Meunier
See the attached files. The stake object under site planning will do this for you. If the 0,0 is not where you want it to be you can use the 'set origin' command to move the origin, and all the stake objects will update:) Hope this helps. John Quote Link to comment

John Thanks, the pdf shows (in white boxes) what I am looking to get. I cannot open the .vwx, I am on 2011 sp5, is this a 2012 file? Thanks, Q Quote Link to comment
