Why wont Software publishers stop ripping people off?

I am a freelance designer, and I recently purchased VW Fundamentals 2011. I spent over a thousand dollars on this, and I cant export PDF? Apparently I have to spend even more money for the privilege of doing so? Exporting to PDF is one of the most basic needs of any program. How can that not be an option?

Needless to say, I am very disappointed.

Are you on Mac or Windows? If on Mac, try PRINT>SAVE AS PDF. Not sure about Windows, but I'll bet there's any easy and inexpensive way to do it...

Or, if you're on a Mac, you could also export as an image e.g. jpg and then in Preview export as a Pdf, the advantage being much smaller file sizes (VWs has a tendency to make quite large pdf export file sizes).

Interestingly, my Fundamentals workspace does in fact include FILE>EXPORT>EXPORT TO PDF... I'm wondering whether the command is actually there on Fundamentals or whether it only shows up because I own a higher cost license...

We're on VWs 2011 Fundamentals and there's no export to PDF facility, we had to resort to PDF995.
