Symbols in walls

I am flabergasted with the fact that some symbols can be attached to walls and others not, can someone expand on why, which and how tos

I think any symbol can be inserted on the centerline or edge of a wall.

You can edit the wall insertion options when the symbol is created or by right clicking on the symbol in the RB and choosing Edit>Symbol Options.

You also have to make sure the wall insertion mode is turned on in the symbol insertion tool.

What symbols have you found that can't be inserted into walls?
