matt wing
Where can I purchase 3D people (not 2D extruded) for inclusiong in my drawings? I've downloaded a few freebees (not worth the download time) as well as bought a cheap library from the Vectorworks partners website (once again, wasted money - 2D extrusions..) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Matt Quote Link to comment
Delmer
If you're spending money you might look at Poser Artist. I think you can get it from Amazon for under $100. Might even be on eBay. Quote Link to comment
Lynda
RPC have a good range of high qaulity figures. You can access their site through www.visualizationmasters.com Set up for Autocad and Stusio viz but probably work with VW too. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Matt - Though this may be one of the freebies you didn't like, I have a mannequin posted at www.landrudesign.com/Downloads_Main.htm. It includes loci at the limb joints to "re-posing" it is relatively easy. Quote Link to comment
Bart Rammeloo
RPC doesn't work with VectorWorks. You need a special plugin for that. And they're a combo of low-poly 3D (in the case of people a simple plane) and high-rez variable 2D. Quote Link to comment
C. Andrew Dunning
Matt - Here is another option for you: http://www.japan-net.ne.jp/~wats/SimpleMan/SimpleMan.html. Quote Link to comment
islandmon
Link to Simpleman is dead. Mannequins are simple and work well. There may be one at Vectordepot as well. In a pinch you can also use Texture Maps & Image Props. They are very convincing when set up correctly for most normal ground level viewing. Quote Link to comment
Ray Libby
The link is fine, remove the period at the end of the URL. Quote Link to comment
